When and where do we meet?

We meet the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month (except July & August) at 2:30PM at Bowen Park Complex

Bowen Complex

The Complex is located in beautiful Bowen Park, Nanaimo, British Columbia, Vancouver Island, Canada.

Membership?

We have about 50 club members and the average attendance at meetings is 30. The level of computer experience of members varies from beginners to experienced computer users, with most of us somewhere in between.

A very capable volunteer instructor, Danny Cheng, leads most of our regular club meetings on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month. At a typical meeting, Danny may present information, such as how to use e-mail, avoid computer viruses, upgrade a computer, or become aware of settings that may affect a computer's performance. The capabilities of hardware and software may be discussed, or new products reviewed. At most meetings, Danny answers members' questions and discusses members' computer problems in a lively way, always with a smile.

On the other Tuesdays of the month a number of members have met occasionally to discuss various topics of interest.

Joining the club?

New members are welcome. However, to join the club, you must be a member of Bowen Park Seniors. If you are new to computers, we recommend that you take the computer classes offered by Bowen Seniors, before joining the club. Danny teaches the classes at Nanaimo District Secondary School in their computer lab.
